It is recommended by both tattoo artists and dermatologists for body arts like tattooing and piercing. It is an OTC product, thereby requiring no prescription. The cream effectively blocks the pain receptors sending pain signals to the brain. The numbing effect will be activated within 20-30 seconds of application.
The cream is easy to use. Before using the cream, the skin should be washed with soap and water. Then, pat the area dry with a clean towel. Apply a thick amount of Dr. Numb cream to the skin and rub briskly. The cream should cover the area completely. Cover it with a plastic wrap or cling to potent the heat effect. The cream should be applied 40-45 minutes before the process.

Without a doubt, this one worked for me. It is just that you need to follow the directions given and let it do the magic for you. On the first try when I put the cream on and wrapped in saran wrap, I felt like nothing changed. But after 45 minutes when the tattoo artist removed it all at once and started working on my skin, the results were clear. This was the second time I was using this amazing product to get tattooed. I am surely going to buy it for next tattoos in my mind!

Really happy the way it worked for me! I applied it for about 1 hour before my appointment and without showering I went to the tattoo parlor. I would just recommend having it in good amount if you are getting a big tattoo job done. Like if you are having a tribal tattoo done like I had, get hold of multiple tubes. Yes, it works but it has to be applied in generous amount. A small coat just like you use a body lotion might not be helpful. So I would recommend investing in multiple numbers of tubes to have pain-free tattoo art.

What I loved about this product is that it has a bunch of extra uses past when you have used it for tattooing. Actually, I ended buying 5 tubes and it was pretty reasonable. But after getting a tattoo I was left with good quantity. To my surprise I got to know that it can be used for various things. The next I tried it was on my septum piercing.

This cream worked really well for my father’s underside bicep tattoo. He admitted that he felt towards the beginning was some pinching and in parts, a tiny bit of stinging sensation. This is because it was a sensitive area. Imagine the level of pain if he would go without the cream. Remember to follow the instructions. I personally think that the effect varies from person to person. Anyway it is one of the effective tattoo numbing creams out there.
